Norah Jones, cantante, cantautrice e pianista 9 volte vincitrice del GRAMMY AWARD, ha pubblicato Visions, il suo nono album da solista in studio realizzato in collaborazione con il produttore e polistrumentista Leon Michels, nonché il video ufficiale della canzone "Paradise" diretta da Joelle Grace Taylor che celebra le montagne russe della vita. Visions è un set di 12 canzoni, vibrante e gioioso, che è lo yang rispetto all’yin di “Pick Me Up Off The Floor”, l'ultimo album di canzoni originali di Norah Jones, pubblicato all'inizio della pandemia del 2020 e che preannunciava molte delle emozioni cupe di quel periodo.
"Il motivo per cui ho intitolato l'album Visions è perché molte delle idee sono arrivate nel cuore della notte o in quel momento subito prima di dormire." dice Jones. “Abbiamo fatto la maggior parte delle canzoni nello stesso modo, io ero al piano o alla chitarra e Leon suonava la batteria e semplicemente improvvisavamo. Mi piace la crudezza tra me e Leon, il modo in cui suona in stile garage ma anche pieno di sentimento, perché è da lì che viene”.
Leon Michels ha suonato il sassofono nei Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings e si è esibito con Lee Fields & The Expressions, la band di Dan Auerbach The Arcs, la Menahan Street Band e il suo progetto personale El Michels Affair. Michels e Jones hanno collaborato per la prima volta al singolo "Can You Believe" e in seguito hanno lavorato insieme all'album I Dream of Christmas del 2021. Visions vede anche il contributo del trombettista Dave Guy, del bassista Jesse Murphy e dei batteristi Brian Blade e Homer Steinweiss.
